O Christmas Tree

From Dee's Work Blog:
I have worked at the Wolf for almost 8 years and in those eight years…I have not put up a christmas tree. One good reason was that I had a house cat. Another reason, I just hate decorating it. My mom puts enough up for me. Last year she put up 11 trees in her house. And not little Charlie Brown trees either. These are big 6 to 9 foot trees all decored and looking beautiful. But this year I thought, I have a new baby boy and no house cat so I will attempt to put up a tree. With the help of my husband we put up our first Christmas Tree together. We have white lights on it with a few balls that I hand painted and small mirror orniments with snowflakes on them that we used as decorations at our wedding reception. The angel on top is from my Grandmother who collected angels. She passed away two years ago. Our first Christmas tree is filled with wonderful memories already! There are even a few presents under the tree.

The King's New Clothes

When I took these pics and saw this scrapbooking kit I thought of the King's New Clothes (also known as the Emporer's New Clothes) - the children's story from when I was little. This is a shorten version made into a song. Here is what the page says:

This is the story of the King's new clothes:

Now there was once a king who was absolutely insane about new clothes and one day, two swindlers came to sell him what they said was a magic suit of clothes. Now, they held up this particular garment and they said, "Your Majesty, this is a magic suit." Well, the truth of the matter is, there was no suit there at all. But the swindlers were very smart, and they said, "Your Majesty, to a wise man this is a beautiful raiment but to a fool it is absolutely invisible." Naturally, the King not wanting to appear a fool, said:

"Isn't it grand! Isn't it fine! Look at the cut, the style, the line!
The suit of clothes is all together
But all together it's all together
The most remarkable suit of clothes that I have ever seen.
These eyes of mine at once determined
The sleeves are velvet, the cape is ermine
The hose are blue and the doublet is a lovely shade of green.
Somebody send for the Queen."

Well they sent for the Queen and they quickly explained to her about themagic suit of clothes. And naturally, the Queen not wanting to appear a fool, said:

"Well, isn't it oh! Isn't it rich! Look at the charm of every stitch!
The suit of clothes is all together
But all together it's all together
The most remarkable suit of clothes that I have ever seen.
These eyes of mine at once determined
The sleeves are velvet, the cape is ermine
The hose are blue and the doublet is a lovely shade of green.
Summon the court to convene."

Well the court convened, and you never saw in your life as many people as were at that court. All the ambassadors, the dukes, the earls, the counts, it was just black with people, and they were all told about the magic suit of clothes. And after they were told they naturally didn't want to appear fools and they said:

"Isn't it ohhh! Isn't it ahhh!
Isn't it absolutely wheee! (whistle sound)
The suit of clothes is all together
But all together it's all together
The most remarkable suit of clothes a tailor ever made.
Now quickly, put it all together
With gloves of leather and hat and feather
It's all together the thing to wear in Saturday's parade.
Leading the royal brigade."

Now Saturday came and the streets were just lined with thousands, and thousands, and thousands of people, and they all were cheering as the artillery came by, the infantry marched by, the cavalry galloped by. And everybody was cheering like mad, except one little boy. You see, he hadn't heard about the magic suit and didn't know what he was supposed to see. Well, as the King came by the little boy looked and, horrified, said:

"Look at the King! Look at the the King!
Look at the King, the King, the King!
The King is in the all together
But all together the all together
He's all together as naked as the day that he was born.
The King is in the all together
But all together the all together
It's all together the very least the King has ever worn."

All the courts positioned to call an intermission. His majesty is wide open to ridicule and scorn.

The King is in the all together
But all together the all together
He's all together as naked as the day that he was born.
And it's all together too chilly a morn!

The Cat Wrangler

I think Marshall will do just fine out on the farm - he is already keeping the cats in line and like every little boy does (and sometimes I do to) he will be kicking the cats! I couldn't be any prouder and I don't think Mom or Dad could be either! ~ erin

Photography By Mom

Give Mom the good camera and she goes crazy!!! Now I have a million new pages to put together - and believe you me they will get done in a more timely manner this time around! And let me tell you what - Mom's photography is pretty darn good! Also if you noticed the blog header - Marshall has become "The Cat Wrangler" and I will have a whole page on this to come! Enjoy this one for now - in the new duds Mom bought on the shopping trip - not all purchases were for Marshall - she did get herself some - maybe Loren wouldn't want me to disclose what his wife is purchasing to wear while... I think I've said to much already - Enjoy! ~ e

I am sooo slipping....

I admit it - sooo slipping! I mean I just finished this new bath page and the pictures are from over a month ago! Ahhhh.... But just look at how much the little man has grown since the first bath time page I put together. The first page is from a week after Marshall was born - the other is from the 5th of October! ~ erin

Trick or Treat

Here is Marshall at one of his stops while trick or treating. He is with his favorite neighbor...Andrea.

nothing new

Sorry everybody...not too much new on here...Erin is slipping. Actually Marshall has been sick with a head cold so he hasn't been too photogenic. I think Erin will be coming out this weekend to take some pictures so there may be more updates soon.
